Announcing an informal RHS reunion to capture some of the fun and magic from our 40-yr reunion without having to wait another 2 years for the 45th. Casual and relaxing weekend of June 8-10, only 3 months away. We're just picking host hotels and letting everyone know where we'll gather on Fri and Sat nights. No binding RSVP, no pre-payments, no hassle, no decorations, no formal class photo, no dance floor, no big committees.
We'll start our weekend at Poppa Rollos Friday night in a private room reserved for RHS '69. Cost per person is expected to be around $10 for unlimited pizza, salad, tea, water, and soft drinks. A cash bar will also be available.
On Saturday night we'll meet at Hodde Lodge, owned and generously provided by classmate David Goss. It's located on Fort Street not far from Poppa Rollos. Large gathering room, huge bar, tables, sofas, fenced parking area, lots of room to hang outside, great kitchen, BBQ pits, the works. A group of classmates volunteered to cook for us, and we'll all just chip in for the cost of the food.
Will try to get someone to coordinate a golf game for Saturday if we have interest. Am also inquiring about a tour of the old Richfield High School facility.
Pam Marstaller Hughes will be posting information on our web site so please visit it regularly .........
www.richfieldhighschool1969.com. While there, be sure to update your information, check out pictures from RHS events, write us a note, post a new photo, just say hello to other classmates.
We'd appreciate information on "missing" classmates. Will also post messages on FaceBook.
Obviously we have details to fill in such as meeting times and addresses but those will come in later emails. My focus tonight was to get the information out to everyone so you can make plans to join us. As the reunion date approaches, we'll ask for RSVPs just so we'll know how many folks to expect at Poppa Rollos and how much food to order for Saturday evening....but there's nothing more for you to do other than say "yes" or "no."
Hoping you will all consider coming to this reunion and using the weekend to visit with old friends and reconnect with everyone. Life can change in an instant; don't pass up an opportunity to spend time with RHS classmates once again.
Wishing you good health, warm hugs, and laughter aplenty......Debbie Jones Fendrick
